Question 1

What is GlamSpace?

Accepted Answer

GlamSpace is a marketplace for flexible beauty workspace — the BnB of beauty. It connects licensed beauty professionals — hair stylists, makeup artists, nail techs, lash artists, estheticians, waxing specialists, massage therapists, permanent makeup artists, barbers, and tattoo artists — with verified salon chairs, styling stations, and private suites they can rent with flexible day rentals: a short session, a half-day, a full day, a week, or a month.

Question 2

How does salon chair rental work?

Accepted Answer

Browse verified salon spaces in your city, filter by specialty and space type, pick your date and time, and book instantly or send a request to the host. You pay only the listed rental rate for the time you book — no weekly booth rent, no monthly leases, no membership fees — and you keep 100% of your service revenue. Addresses and entry instructions are revealed once your booking is confirmed.

Question 3

Can I rent a salon chair for one day?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every GlamSpace listing offers full-day rentals, and many also offer shorter sessions, half-days, weekly, and monthly options. You choose exactly the rental window you need in your city — flexible day rentals with zero commitment.

Question 4

How much does it cost to rent a salon chair on GlamSpace?

Accepted Answer

Rental rates are set by each salon host. Most salon chairs start at $25–$50 for a short session, with half-day, full-day, weekly, and monthly options on many spaces. You pay only the listed rental rate for the time you book — no membership fees, no weekly booth rent, no long-term leases.

Question 5

What is an alternative to traditional booth rental?

Accepted Answer

Traditional booth rental locks you into a weekly or monthly payment whether you work or not, plus a lease and sometimes a commission on services. GlamSpace flips the model: you rent a chair or suite only for the time you actually need it, with no lease, no weekly commitment, and no commission on your clients. You keep 100% of your service revenue.

Question 6

Do I need a cosmetology license to rent salon space?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All beauty professionals on GlamSpace must hold a valid professional license for the services they provide and complete a sworn license and insurance attestation during signup plus a state-compliance attestation at checkout. Attestations are kept on file and the pro's status shows as 'attestation on file.'

Question 7

How can salon owners make money from empty chairs?

Accepted Answer

Salon owners and suite hosts list their idle chairs, stations, and private suites for free on GlamSpace, set their own rental rates, and get paid automatically via Stripe after each booking. GlamSpace handles discovery, booking, and payments — the easiest way to turn empty chairs and unused days into income.

Question 8

Can I rent out an unused salon chair?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Listing on GlamSpace is completely free for salon owners and suite hosts — no listing fee, no monthly subscription, no setup charge. Your space goes live automatically once your one-time Stripe payout setup is complete, and licensed, verified beauty professionals can start booking it right away.

Question 9

Can makeup artists, lash artists, and estheticians rent salon space?

Accepted Answer

Yes. GlamSpace covers hair, makeup, nails, waxing, massage, lashes, permanent makeup, tattoo, and more. Pros can search specialty-specific spaces — lash rooms, nail tech chairs, makeup artist studios, esthetician and waxing rooms, and private suites — and filter by space type, price, instant booking, and availability.

Question 10

Where is GlamSpace available?

Accepted Answer

GlamSpace is available nationwide across the United States, with the deepest coverage in Florida — including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, the Palm Beaches, Orlando, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Jacksonville, and Sarasota — plus Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago, Dallas, Charlotte, Phoenix, and Las Vegas.
